Doctor's Appointment and Eating Cereal

Troy's 4 month old doctor's appointment was Oct 11. I was really excited to go to the doctor just so I could find out his length and weight. We have a friend across the street who's 2 month old weighs 15 pounds and I just knew that Troy weighed at least 15 pounds too. Well, when the nurse weighed him, he only weighed 13 pounds...I was so surprised! He was 25 inches long.

He did have to get shots, and that about broke my heart. He did so well with shots at his 2 month visit that I wasn't prepared for this one. The first shot, he wimpered, the second shot, he looked at me like what was that?, and the third and fourth shot, he lost it and there were tears (in my eyes too). He looked so pitiful. Fortunately, he did get over it quickly.

The doctor said everything looked fine and Troy is healthy. He did say that we could start feeding him rice cereal.

We gave Troy his first bowl that night and he was not at all interested. We decided we would wait a week and keep trying.
