For the area tournament, we played some tough competition. Even though we lost two games back to back, the second game was probably one of my favorites to watch this season. One inning in the second game he was a part of making ALL THREE outs. He caught two pop flies that inning and caught a throw to second to complete the inning.
He is so confident on the field and encourages the other players and reminds them where the play is. He is a true joy to watch and it's one of my favorite things to do.
Troy has come so far since last summer and I'm so proud of how hard he has worked to get better. He never struck out all season and almost always got on base, including some doubles, triples and some homeruns. He does a good job in the field too - he caught lots of throws to second to make outs and caught several pop flies in every single game.
I'm so glad he got to experience an "all star" season.
