Trip to Iowa

Over Labor Day weekend, we took a trip to Iowa because one of Brian's cousins was getting married.  We flew there, so it was the first time to fly with our babies.  Everything went pretty smooth.  When we checked in at Bham, they would not let us through security because my ticket did not say "infant in arms".  Luckily, we were not rushed, so I had plenty of time to go get another ticket.

While at Brian's grandmother's house, we spent lots of times chucking corn and feeding it to the horses.  The kids loved that and they loved the horses.

Brian's grandmother lives in Tama, Iowa but his other grandparents lived in Conrad, Iowa.  So we took a morning and drove to Conrad for a little while.  We got a picture of the kids in front of the house that Brian's father grew up in and a picture of the kids on a bench in downtown Conrad that is a memorial to his grandparents.

The wedding location was beautiful.  I could have stared at the corn fields for hours.

The other thing that the kids loved was the tractors.  Uncle Ben took both of them for a ride on the tractor and they thought that was the best thing ever.
